Introducing Harmless Let’s Talk Training

Who are Harmless Let’s Talk Training?

We are the training operating arm of Harmless – designing, coordinating and delivering bespoke, CPD-accredited, evidence-based training on all things self harm, suicide and mental health.

We’re called ‘Let’s Talk Training’ because we want everyone, no matter who they are, where they are, or what their ‘role’ is – personal or professional, to feel confident and be equipped to start and continue conversations the often-stigmatized topics of self harm, suicide and mental health.

What do we offer?

We deliver 4 levels of training from introductory to specialist, to anyone wanting to develop knowledge, skill and confidence in these topics (and more!). We deliver to many different organisations and individuals across all sectors. Our training is developed in line with current best practice and guidance, e.g. the Health Education England’s Self Harm and Suicide Competence Frameworks.

Why are we special?

Our trainers work closely alongside our clinical teams to ensure that our content is meaningful and informed by clinical practice. We want people to hear the voice of our clients and their journeys, as well as our own. Many trainers at Harmless have lived experience of recovery which we share during training to add to the training experience by giving genuine understanding and insight.

Income from our training packages goes directly back into sustaining our own clinical services so that we can ensure that individuals who need our support can always access it.

Our training/trainer standards are to be:

  • Passionate
  • Interactive
  • Supportive
  • Knowledgeable
  • Flexible

Our bespoke training is delivered face-to-face, in virtual classrooms, and through self-directed learning on the Harmless e-portal. This means we can cater to all sorts of organisational needs to best meet requirements. We understand that training is a partnership and we work with services to design training packages to meet their needs in the best way possible.
