Today, we say a heartfelt goodbye and thank you to a dear friend, colleague, and mentor.
Many of us have been blessed to know Trevor Harris. He was a loyal, generous and kindhearted friend. With an infectious laugh and hearty smile that could light up any room, Trevor had the capacity to bring joy to all those who were lucky enough to meet him.
Trevor was never one to shy away from helping others. As an ambassador for Harmless and The Tomorrow Project he raised over £100,000 for our vital services, and devoted his time and energy selflessly in order to make a difference in people’s lives. Many of us are heartbroken knowing we won’t be able to benefit from his encouraging words or contagious determination ever again.
Trevor always went above-and-beyond for us whether it be sourcing vital resources, organising events, offering invaluable business advice, introducing us to people who wanted to support Harmless, or relentlessly finding opportunity after opportunity to speak about our work which helped raise money to save thousands of lives. He was the life-of-the-party, always with his pint in hand, making sure everyone around him felt included and appreciated. Trevor had an immense influence on our service and its staff – a friend who became part of us without intention.
Trevor will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy will live on through the positive impact he had on so many people’s lives.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Hillary, Becky and Ross. Our thoughts continue to be with them and everyone else who knew Trev.
