Conference Latest – Countdown to 1st March

There are just three weeks to go until the National Self Harm and Suicide Prevention Conference takes place in Nottingham. Hosted by Harmless as part of Self Harm Awareness Day, the conference features a range of expert speakers and leading academics, with delegates from across the sector joining together for an engaging day of specialist and evidence-based content. Fully CPD-accredited, the conference delivers knowledge and practical solutions for implementation in real-life situations, as well as the chance to network and share experiences.

We are pleased to confirm our finalised line-up of chair, plenary speakers and workshop leaders for the day:

We are delighted that we will also be joined by several researchers who will be exhibiting poster presentations of their findings. Additionally, several other organisations will be in attendance including The Big Issue, Child Bereavement UK, GamCare, Love4Life, NCISH, NIDAS, NSPA, Pam Burrows People Booster and Papyrus.

Our theme for 2024 is Competing Demands Must Not Divide Us: The Future of Self Harm and Suicide PreventionAs at previous events, our strategic focus will be on:

The conference format includes plenary presentations and a series of breakout workshops. After a hugely successful 2023 conference, we are delighted to be returning to Trent Conference Centre, Nottingham’s leading independent events venue. Delegates unable to attend in person can also participate via a live stream.

The Conference takes place on Friday 1st March 9am – 5pm

Ticket sales for in-person delegates will CLOSE at 9.30am on Wednesday 21st February.
Tickets for online delegates are available until midday on Thursday 29th February.
