Spreading Kindness: Celebrating World Kindness Day with Harmless

By Caroline Harroe (Harmless CEO)

Today – 13th November – is World Kindness Day, a global celebration of the positive power of kindness. At Harmless and The Tomorrow Project we believe that kindness is essential in all aspects of life, especially when it comes to supporting those struggling with self harm and suicidal thoughts.

Kindness can make a world of difference in someone’s life. A simple act of kindness, whether it’s a listening ear, a supportive word, or a helping hand, can have a profound impact on someone who is feeling isolated and alone.

On this World Kindness Day, we encourage you to reflect on the importance of kindness in your own life and in the lives of those around you. How can you spread kindness today? Here are a few ideas:

  • Reach out to someone who may be struggling. Let them know you care and that they are not alone.
  • Offer a helping hand to someone in need. This could be something as simple as helping a neighbour with their groceries or volunteering your time at a local charity.
  • Practice self-kindness. Be gentle with yourself and remember that you are worthy of love and compassion.

At Harmless and The Tomorrow Project, we are committed to providing kind and compassionate support to individuals who are struggling with self harm and suicide. We believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and we strive to create a safe and supportive environment where people can heal and recover.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to us. We are here to help.

Let’s make kindness a priority, not just today, but every day. Together, we can create a world where everyone feels valued, supported, and loved.
