Self Harm Awareness
Self harm is a complex and often misunderstood issue that can affect anyone, regardless of age or background. Our Self Harm Awareness training equips participants with the knowledge and confidence to respond with empathy, understanding and professionalism. The course explores the different types of self harm, the contextual and emotional factors behind it, and the warning signs that may indicate someone is in distress.
Through this training, participants learn how to offer effective support using evidence-based interventions and safety planning strategies. The course also covers the impact of trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), the links between self harm, mental health and suicide, and how to adapt approaches for children, young people and adults. On completion, learners receive supporting resources and a certificate to recognise their enhanced awareness, skills and confidence.

Boys & Men Self Harm & Suicide Prevention
Research shows that men are three times more likely to die by suicide than women, yet are far less likely to seek support. Our Boys & Men Self Harm and Suicide Prevention training provides knowledge of male-specific risk factors and practical strategies to challenge stigma. The course helps participants build confidence in spotting risks early and offering timely, appropriate support.
Participants will develop an understanding of self harm and suicide in men, learn to reduce stigma and discrimination, and gain skills to create an inclusive environment. This course is designed for anyone supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals or communities, providing insights into self harm and suicide within this group. Participants will learn to recognise the unique risk factors affecting LGBTQIA+ people and gain practical skills to create a more inclusive and supportive environment while confidently challenging stigma and discrimination.
The training also focuses on improving awareness of self harm and suicide, developing competence in supporting those affected, and encouraging engagement with relevant services. Participants will learn how to provide appropriate support and signpost to local and national resources, enhancing both confidence and effectiveness in working with LGBTQIA+ communities.

Gypsy, Roma & Traveller Self Harm & Suicide Prevention
Endorsed by Friends, Families & Travellers, this course provides culturally-appropriate training tailored for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, groups often marginalised from mainstream support. Participants gain awareness of self harm and suicide within these communities, learn to challenge stigma and discrimination, and build confidence in supporting someone in distress.
The training also covers unique risk factors, strategies for creating an inclusive environment and ways to improve engagement with support services. Participants develop practical skills to respond effectively, understand the challenges in accessing local and national services, and enhance their competence and confidence in supporting individuals affected by self harm and suicide.

Women aged 45–54 – the typical perimenopause and menopause years – have the highest suicide rates among UK women. This course helps participants understand the impact of menopause on mental health, recognise both biological and psychosocial risk factors, and develop the skills to respond with sensitivity and practical support.
The training covers menopause stages, physiological changes and the role of hormones in brain function and mental well-being. Participants also learn to identify risk factors, address stigma and misinformation, communicate sensitively about menopause, and apply evidence-based treatments and holistic approaches. On completion, delegates will have gained the confidence to provide accurate information, dispel myths, and advocate for improved understanding and support.
