Hi all! My name is Bec and I am the newest member to the suicide bereavement team based at our Chesterfield office. I applied for a job with The Tomorrow Project after attending one of the mental health awareness training courses last year. I was very impressed with my first impression of the organisation, and the services that that Harmless and The Tomorrow Project provide.
I am a trainee counsellor, having just completed my 2nd year (only 2 more to go!). I also volunteer with a men’s mental health charity, and I am particularly passionate about breaking down the stigma of males accessing supporting and asking for help! It’s time to end the “Man Up” motto!
In my personal life I have a son and a daughter who are my reasons for everything😊. I love dogs and have two rescues called George-Porge and Sadie (AKA Little Legs). I am addicted to crime documentaries and enjoy reading as well as travelling, having lived in Australia during my “youth”. I also have a crush on Dr Karl Kennedy from Neighbours, but we don’t talk about that.
